The Credit Miracle Worker At Frank Myers Auto Maxx Presents: The Difference Between Credit Bureaus & How Your Score Is Determined

Rich Little, the “Credit Miracle Worker” at Frank Myers Auto Maxx in Winston-Salem, NC here and I’m back. This time I’m going to tell you the differences between the three credit bureaus and how your credit score is determined.

The three main credit bureaus are for-profit corporations

The big three: Experian, Equifax and TransUnion are in the business of buying and selling credit information and they play no part in the credit repair or restoration process unless they are requested to do so. They are not a government agency, a public service nor do they act as a watchdog and contact you about possible problems with your credit. It’s also very important to know that they are responsive not proactive companies. In other words, you have to go to them to repair any false charges or erroneous information. Until you do, they assume all is well with your credit report(s).

Every time you ask Experian, Equifax and TransUnion to look into problems with your credit report (including disputing information or asking that an item be removed), it costs them money. It only follows that they will sometimes take measures to avoid acting on your behalf.

But with the Credit Restoration service at Frank Myers Auto Maxx in your corner, you’ll be able to deal with the “big three” in the most efficient and effective way possible. We have years of experience with these credit bureaus and know exactly how to deal with them to get real results in the shortest amount of time possible.

Below is a breakdown of the main factors used to determine your credit score. These are approximations. For example, major banks and other lenders may use their own systems to generate your credit score.

Payment History (35%)
Payments due and past due, including how long they are past due.
Your payment history for specific accounts such as installment loans, mortgages, credit cards, and purchases or services.
The number of past due items on file (whether the information is accurate or not).
Adverse public proceedings such as suits, liens, bankruptcy, wage garnishments, judgments, and accounts turned over to collection.
The time that has passed since any public proceedings.
The number of accounts paid per each agreement with dates and amounts paid.
Amounts Owed (30%)
Proportions and percentages of credit lines used.
How many accounts you have with current balances.
Amounts owing on such accounts.
Installments and the balance (proportion) compared to the original loan.
Amount owed on various and specific types of accounts.
Credit History (15%)
Time since accounts were applied for and opened.
Time since the last activity (payment or purchase) for each account.
New Credit (10%)
Accounts recently opened and the proportion of various types of accounts.
Number of recently opened accounts.
Recent credit inquiries from lenders including retail and credit agencies.
Time since your last credit inquiry.
Restoration and repair of positive credit.
Types of Credit Used (10%)
Types of credit: mortgages, installment loans, credit cards, retail accounts (stores) and consumer finance accounts and the prevalence (percentage) of the different types of credit used.

Naturally, my staff and I are fully aware how credit scores are calculated and attend to each and every detail when restoring your credit. We use this information to make sure we have attended to absolutely every aspect of your accounts. The Credit Restoration service at Frank Myers Auto Maxx will help you achieve the highest credit rating possible.

The Credit Miracle Worker at Frank Myers Auto Maxx Presents: Credit Myths and Misconceptions

My name is Rich Little and I'm the Business Manager at Frank Myers Auto Maxx in Winston-Salem, NC. Over the years, I've been hailed as a “credit miracle worker” by many and as “too good to be legal” by others.

So...what kinds of kinds of credit problems have I dealt with in my storied career? Bankruptcy, medical bills, charge offs, late payments, divorces, student loan problems, IRS demands, repossessions, and more.

And even though I've literally helped thousands drive home in the car of their dreams, it's about more than that to me. It's also about helping folks rebuild their credit and rebuild their lives.

But there is a lot of false information about credit and credit reports and what does and does not lead to the necessity of credit repair and restoration.

So please allow me to share wth you some common myths and misconceptions.

  1. Paying cash for everything will help your credit rating.Using cash for all your transactions does not have an effect on your credit (other than you are not using loans, lines of credit or credit cards).

  2. Paying off collections, tax liens and late payments will remove them from your credit report. Resolving these items is no guarantee they will be removed from your report. You must continue to monitor the situation until the items are truly removed.

  3. All of your credit reports and credit scores will be the same. It’s not unusual for reports to differ from credit bureau to bureau. Plus, major banks and creditors often have their own method of determining your credit score.

  4. If you have poor credit, your credit scores will suffer for seven years. The seven year “rule” pertains to a certain type of bankruptcy, not credit issues. Credit issues can be resolved quickly, sometimes in a matter of days or weeks.

  5. Making a lot of money will improve your credit report and scores.Income is not a big factor in your credit rating. More important is how you spend your money in terms of using credit to do so.

  6. Divorce will absolve you of your credit responsibilities. The effect on your credit depends on your divorce decree, settlement and your history of sharing credit accounts with your spouse. The Equal Credit Opportunity Act states that married couples have the right to request separate credit reports and histories, even for joint accounts. And, if an account is listed under only one spouse’s name, the other spouse has the right to rely on that credit history.

  7. Closing credit card accounts will improve your credit scores. A closed credit card account is considered “static” information (not being used) and has little effect on your credit.

  8. The proper and responsible use of check cards can help your credit reports and scores. Most check cards do not have an impact on your credit status.

Next time, I'll tell you the differences between the three credit bureaus and how your credit score is determined.

VW Takes Over Toyota; Frank Myers Auto Owner "Surprised"

Winston-Salem, NC: Volkswagen-Porsche has overtaken Toyota to become the world's largest car manufacturer according to the U.K.’s Guardian. The German group has benefited from state-backed stimulus packages around the globe." VW has "produced 4.4 million vehicles so far this year, outstripping its Japanese rival which has seen four million cars roll off production lines since January."

Ironically, VW reached the milestone in part by taking over Porsche – which it was forced to do after Porsche failed in an attempt to take over VW earlier this year.

"Of course," Autoblog notes, there is "some number play involved" in the Guardian’s numbers. "We're talking about the combined entity VW-Porsche, which has built 4.4 million cars to date, which is roughly 400,000 beyond Toyota's mark. However, Toyota halved its production earlier this year and shut down all its plants in February." VW also "benefited much more than Toyota from the European cash-for-clunkers programs," though Toyota saw more sales than VW spurred by the U.S. version of the car-swap program.

The news doesn’t just push Toyota down a notch. Jalopnik notes that VW has "passed Toyota and GM at the top of the heap." America’s largest automaker – the world’s largest just three years ago – now sits in third globally.

The change may not be permanent. The Guardian notes that Toyota "has the capacity to make 10 million vehicles a year but it expects to make seven million vehicles in 2009" as production picks back up. VW, however, may see its production increase long-term enough to stay ahead, or at least to take the title again even if it loses it later this year.

After all, Autoblog notes, "VW's also got the edge on Toyota" in the huge Chinese market, "where it has spent years introducing models."

Tracy Myers, owner of Frank Myers Auto Maxx (a used car dealership in Winston-Salem), says he was surprised by the news. "It is amazing to me...especially since we sell used Toyotas at a rate of 3 to 1 over used VW's. Take the used Camry for example. It is one of our best selling used cars."

Tom Hopkins Influences Owner of Winston-Salem, NC Car Dealership (Frank Myers Auto Maxx)

I remember 1994 like it was yesterday...I was a young car salesman and I thought I knew everything. Selling a whopping 8 cars a month at the family auto dealership with no wife, no kids and a handful of bills made me feel like the King of the World!

However, as anyone that has had a successful career in automotive sales knows, the proverbial light bulb had yet to go off. I didn't get "it" and hadn't yet realized that I wanted "it".

It is my humble opinion that anyone that sells, has sold, or has attempted to sell cars fall into one of three categories.

The first category is the person that will never get "it". While professional sales is a learned skill, the folks that fall into this first category just doesn't comprehend the art form and probably never will. These poor souls should have never been hired in the first place.

The second category of people are the ones that frustrate me the most. They are the ones that get "it" but choose not to do anything with "it". Whether because of laziness, personal problems or just a better-than-that attitude, these people tend to be cancers that will pollute the rest of your staff if you're not careful.

The third category is the one that I fell into. The people in category three are the ones that always perform OK or above average. However, something will strike a chord with them one day and they will get "it". When that day occurs, they automatically get hungry to learn more and strive to do better each day. They'll go from 8-9 car months to 12-15 car months in what seems like overnight. That day for me was the day that I attended the Tom Hopkins Boot Camp in Tampa, Florida.

I first met Tom Hopkins at a Success seminar in Winston-Salem, NC. His approach to sales and word tracks intrigued me. After the seminar, I went to Toms' table, put my name on his mailing list and bought his classic book "How To Master The Art of Selling". The book blew my mind! I had never heard things said the way Tom taught me to say them. It didn't take me but a few days to finish the book and, needless to say, I was hooked as a fan for life.

The next week, I received an invitation in the mail to attend Tom Hopkins' Boot Camp in Tampa, Florida. Since I was as broke as a convict, I begged my dad for the money. My dad, who always wanted to teach me one of life's many lessons, agreed to loan me the money (YES...he made me pay it back with INTEREST! If I remember correctly, he even made me do a payroll deduct). Thanks for the loan AND the lesson, Dad.

So I was off to Tampa...scared of what was ahead but still very excited about the opportunity to learn more from Tom. Looking back on those 3 days, they were the beginning of my love for the almost lost art of sales. I vividly remember not being able to sleep due to my mind racing a hundred miles an hour. The thoughts of how dangerous I was gonna be when I got back made me feel strangely confident...like I was "the man"! LOL. And I loved it!

The look on my young face in the picture above says it all. I was grinning from ear to ear because I was actually excited about...*GASP-CHOKE*...learning?! 15 years later, my wish it that I can be a mentor that fills my employees and other Sales Professionals with the enthusiasm to learn about the art of selling just like Tom Hopkins did for me.

And, just in case you are wondering, I STILL know The Champions Creed by heart:

"I am not judged by the number of times I fail, but by the number of times I succeed.
And the number of times I succeed is in direct proportion to the number of times I can fail and keep trying." by Tom Hopkins

Frank Myers Auto Named To Top 100 List

Tracy's Great Grandpa Frank Myers @ the
original Frank Myers Store. Date of pic unknown.

RALEIGH, N.C. – Business Leader Media is proud to reveal the Top 100 Small Businesses in North Carolina for 2009.

Frank Myers Auto Maxx was recognized as one of the Top 100 small businesses in the entire state for the second year in a row. The hugely successful and wildly popular independent auto dealerships, owned by Certified Master Dealer Tracy Myers, realized an astonishing 1 year growth of 35% and a 5 year growth of a whopping 141%. What makes these numbers so stunning is that the used car industry as a whole is in a downward spiral, with no immediate recovery in site.

"The honor of being named one of the top 100 small businesses in North Carolina is simply a testament to my father’s belief that if you surround yourself with good people, they’ll push you to the top," said Tracy Myers. "If anyone deserves the credit for this recognition, it is my incredible staff because they continue to push me to the top."

The 2009 winners were ranked based on revenue growth, business achievement and community involvement and were chosen from 367 finalists. The rankings and profiles of the companies will appear in the June issue of Triad Business Leader magazine and online at
http://www.triadnewswire.com/. In 2008, Frank Myers Auto Maxx placed #22.

How to Keep Your Car Looking New

Our cars reflect our personalities. From a cute lime green bug to a powerful black SUV to a sexy red convertible, what we drive says a lot about who we are. But this good impression can be quickly ruined by a tarnished finish.

"Your car's exterior is constantly being assaulted by all kinds of potentially hazardous substances -- many of which you can't even see," says Glenn Canady, president of 5 Star Technologies, a company that makes vehicle maintenance products.

Canady says that dirt and grime from the road are just the beginning: "The dangers are everywhere, tiny droplets of sticky sap from trees that get on your car and will not only attract dirt and dust, but will bake into the paint surface and leave stains. And what we may think of as innocuous bird droppings are actually highly acidic substances which can erode paint and clear coat finishes," he adds.

Airborne contaminants such as by-products from construction and manufacturing and other floating elements can also threaten your finish. Add to that salt from the sea and from snow trucks and daily exposure to moisture, sometimes from acid rain, and you have a lethal combination.

Even the hot sun beating down on your car is problematic: it causes the paint pores to expand and absorb more dirt and moisture.

The most critical step you can take to maintain your finish is frequent washing, yet it is surprising how many people don't take this precaution.

A recent survey by carlove.org found that 52 percent of car owners wash their cars less than once a month and 15 percent never wash their cars. Here are a few suggestions from Canady on how to keep your finish glossy:

*You should wash your car at least once a week. Keeping your exterior consistently clean will lessen the impact of damaging dirt and chemicals that build up on your car's surface. In parts of the country that experience the use of road salt in the winter, frequent washing can reduce the corrosive effects of salt that cause body rust-through.

*Polish your vehicle with a product that provides durable protection as a final step after washing. Car waxes do not provide the long-term protection necessary to keep your paint looking new. They are made from inexpensive carnuba waxes, which melt and get sticky and attract dirt and pollutants.

"People can actually be doing more harm than good," says Canady, whose company makes a two-step polish called 5 Star Shine that uses PTFE (the same substance that makes nonstick cookware so slippery) and durable acrylic elements that create a chemical fusion that seals paint from the elements.

"This is not like ordinary waxes and polishes that simply lay on top of your paint and wear off in a few weeks," says Canady. "It actually bonds with the molecules of your paint." The slick coating repels dirt and will remain durable for at least 150 washes.

* If you drive on muddy, messy roads, consider an undercarriage treatment every time you wash your car. This will remove caked-on mud that holds moisture to metal and causes rust and body rot around wheel wells and door sills.

Used Car Insurance Made Easy

W hen purchasing insurance for your car, there are a variety of factors to consider. The state minimum requirements for auto insurance coverage vary depending on the state in which you reside; for example, in the state of Colorado, the minimum requirements for auto insurance coverage is 25/50/25, which pertains to bodily injury liability limits.

This translates out into $25,000 per person, $50,000 per incident, and $15,000 for property damage. Keep in mind that these are the absolute minimum limits required by law. I would definitely recommend carrying more than that in bodily injury and liability/property damage coverage.

If you cause a multiple-car pile-up, or even cause an accident where a few people are injured, chances are that you would cause more damage than you think. The extra premium you are paying for more coverage is well worth it (and this is coming from someone who is pretty conservative when it comes to spending money).

Comprehensive and Collision Coverage
It is also important to consider what deductible amounts would work for your used car situation. It is important to keep in mind that the higher your deductibles are, the
lower your premium amount for that year is.

Also, there are two kinds of deductibles: comprehensive and collision. Comprehensive pertains to any damage caused to your vehicle by vandalism, acts of God, hit-and-run, and hitting an animal. Collision has to do with actually hitting another vehicle while on the road.

Comprehensive claims do not affect your future insurance premiums, but collision claims do negatively affect you future premiums. So, I feel that you should have a lower comprehensive deductible, and a higher collision deductible.

My personal auto policy has a comprehensive coverage of $100 and a collision of $1000. Also, glass is covered under the comprehensive deductible. Some insurance companies have a $0 deductible for glass coverage, so ask your agent about this.

Used Cars Worth Less than $2000
If your used or older car is not worth more than $2000, then cover it with liability only insurance. That way, you are not paying for a collision deductible if it would cost you more to pay out the deductible than the vehicle is actually worth. However, don’t forget about the bodily injury liability coverage, as this could cover you if you are ever at fault in an accident. If you injure someone, you cannot simply claim that you are broke and have no coverage— you will still have to pay for the injuries or property damage regardless.

7 Ways To Avoid Traffic Tickets

Over 90 percent of automobile accidents are avoidable. The following are six such instances where you can completely circumvent collisions with a little common-sense and precaution.

Intersection Errors. According to the Federal Highway Administration, intersection and intersection-related crashes make up approximately 23 percent of all fatal crashes, and more than half of all fatal and injury crashes occur at intersections. Look around carefully and always proceed with caution into an intersection, even if you have the right of way.

Inattention. Pay close attention on your own driving, other drivers, pedestrians, and driving conditions.

Following too Close. Most rear-end accidents are caused by tailgating, according to the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Maintain a 3-second following distance from the car in front of you, except in hazardous weather conditions where you should maintain a 4- or 5-car following distance.

Vehicle Malfunction. Have regular checkups, particularly of wiper fluid, brakes, and tires, and replace wiper blades whenever they are worn.

Dangerous Roads. Ice (which tends to develop more frequently on bridges, overpasses, shady spots, and intersections), snow, fog, and rain conditions require slower speeds and much greater caution.

Unsafe Speeds. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, “the economic cost of speeding-related crashes is estimated to be $40.4 billion each year.”
Excessive speed reduces reaction time and greatly increases impact and injuries.
Improper Lane Changes. Before you change, check all mirrors, and signal long before you change. Also, watch for the other vehicles.

All Your Holiday Shopping Free? Frank Myers Auto Maxx in Winston-Salem, NC Offers To "Payoff Christmas"

All Your Holiday Shopping Free?

Holiday Shopping Spree: Retail Experiment Could Mean Free Christmas For Some Folks

Good Investment: Buy A Car, Payoff Christmas

by J.A. Venezio
Special / Retail Press Newswide

Tracy Myers, owner of Frank Myers Auto Maxx is at it again. This Winston-Salem car dealer is always dreaming up new ways to stimulate business and help local residents drive a nicer, newer, more fuel-efficient vehicle but this time he may have gone too far.

It's a marketing experiment that could go horribly wrong and potentially cause Tracy financial distress but he is willing to roll the dice for the good of the economy, community and his business.

"I’ve been lying in bed for days trying to come up a way to help Triad residents get a sweet deal on a nicer, newer vehicle -- the gift most people really wanted but didn't get -- and help them with their Santa-sized sack of holiday bills at the same time," said Tracy. "I can remember several years where I looked at my statement after the holidays and said… 'I SPENT HOW MUCH???' It's never fun."

Myers's idea is a bold one that many local residents could benefit greatly from.

"I’ve been able to work it out so that if you bring in all your holiday receipts, I’ll be able to give you the full amount you paid to buy gifts for your friends and family off the price of a nicer, newer vehicle…one that’s Dealer Certified and comes with a free lifetime warranty and an iron-clad money back guarantee" explains Myers.

He continued by saying, "In essence, I’ll be paying everyone back for their holiday gift giving and helping them get the gift they really wanted but didn’t get… the Certified car, truck, van or SUV they’ve been dreaming of."

Of course many would say that a deal like this is just a gimmick or car dealer shell game. But Myers counters this by adding three very real conditions to his offer.

"This isn't a free-for-all, pardon the pun. It's not just some marketing bull. I really am testing this experiment and because it's for real, I have to put some conditions on the offer," warns Myers.

After this reporter investigated the three conditions it was clear that this was a legitimate offer by a local retailer who is truly trying to help families of the Triad during a challenging time that most people are trying to make the best of.

The three conditions for what Myers calls his Super Sweet, Free Christmas Experiment are as follows:

1) You must have the receipts for the gifts that you bought. A credit card or bank printout or statement will also do to show the amount you spent on others for holiday gifts.

2) You must describe the worst gift you’ve ever received. Myers plans on making a top ten list of the worst holiday gifts his customers have ever gotten and publishing it as part of next year's promotion for the event. That is only if the experiment is a success.

3) You must be willing to tell someone else about the offer. Myers says that between the slow holiday season, his personal holiday shopping and the current economic conditions, marketing dollars are in short supply. This condition is his way of spreading the word without huge expense and is part of what is allowing him to make such a generous offer.

Another condition that I uncovered by asking some tough questions was that the Christmas payoff offer was only good up to $4,000.00 in gift purchases. Not a bad number by any means but there is a cap.

Myers and I also discussed the economy and tightening credit.

"Many people who have been told they have credit issues are frozen. They think they can't upgrade their vehicle or do anything right now? That simply isn’t the case. Things are tougher but I have great financing relationships with both local and national lenders that cater to eager buyers in all kinds of credit situations. And because I'm an automotive finance expert I can still help families who need and want a nicer, newer vehicle," said Myers.

Myers had much to say on this topic but his main message was not to let the fear and uncertainty of what's going on keep you from living your life.

Finally I asked if Myers thought that this experiment would be a success and if we'd be likely to see it again next year.

Myers responded confidently, "I'll pay off all your holiday gifts with a big fat discount off the purchase price of a nicer, newer, more fuel-efficient vehicle. I'm really trying to come up with creative ways to help people be excited about the car they drive and save money at the same time. And of course sell a few additional cars in these tough times. It's a win-win."

Myers says the Experiment will last until January 30th at 5PM. After that he must pull the Super Sweet, Free Christmas payoff offer all together and review the results of the experiment.

Silver Lining: Triad Residents Save Thousands This Holiday Season Thanks To Bad Economy

Silver Lining: Triad Residents Save Thousands This Holiday Season Thanks To Bad Economy

Dealership-wide price slashing finds budget-cutting consumers buying vehicles at half off.

by J.A. Venezio
Special / Retail Press Newswide

Undoubtedly, you've felt some effects of the looming economic problems already at home, at work or in your business. For many Americans, this holiday season will be "leaner" than usual because of tightening wallets. But it's not all bad news. In fact, many Triad residents are poised to put the best gift of all under the tree this year and save thousands of dollars in the process.

According to Tracy Myers, a nationally recognized transportation advisor and owner of Frank Myers Auto Maxx, 2008 has been the worst year in the car business in 20 years. "Normally, by this time of the year, car dealers are wrapping up the year and counting their profit. Not this year. We need to do something drastic this month to even consider making a profit for the year."

For years, retail automotive dealers have depended on the summer months to make a profitable year. But due to a stumbling economy and rising gas prices in the summer, retail sales plunged dramatically. "The problem is, people still want or need a better, more reliable, nicer, newer automobile. But they've been too scared to make an investment in the vehicle they would prefer to drive," said Myers.

The result is slumping sales and profits for dealers, but in the case of Frank Myers Auto Maxx, it's actually good news for consumers. "After being in the car business for as long as I have, you've seen it all," explained Tracy. "You survive by coming up with unique and creative solutions to lessen the blow to your business and to over-deliver like crazy to your clients."

The "solution" Tracy is referring to in this case is a special event going on through the month of December, where virtually every vehicle at Frank Myers Auto Maxx will be marked "Half Off." Your name conceded, "This late in the year, a discount this substantial is the only thing we can do to move the aging inventory out of our dealership and try not to wind up with a loss for the year."

This offer couldn't come at a better time for many Triad residents who have been neglecting their desire for a better vehicle due to tightening budgets. "A vehicle can actually be quite a practical gift for the whole family. It's the gift that keeps on giving for years to come. You can get a car or van or SUV that's more fuel efficient than what you're driving right now, has lower maintenance costs, may have a warranty, is more reliable…and on top of all that it's more fun and exciting to drive a nicer, newer vehicle. When you think about it, this is a gift the whole family can enjoy, and it can actually help you save money in the long run by lowering your transportation costs. And buying a car at 'Half Off' is a great way to make your money go a lot farther. It's both a practical and exciting gift for yourself or your family," said Tracy.

When asked how the company could possibly sell vehicles for "Half Off", Tracy Myers explained that all pre-owned vehicles are acquired at some basic cost from the auction, or from a private party trade-in. Then the dealer invests money in reconditioning the vehicle to like-new status. Finally, the dealer tacks on his profit, which represents the money the dealership makes when you buy a car from them. "What we're doing is slashing that markup, our profit, right in half. This is unprecedented, unheard of, but it's just about the only thing I can imagine that would turn things around. Plus, at the same time, we'll help a lot of people get a great, practical gift for the family and save thousands in the process."

Myers is expecting a great turn out in the last month of the year. "I'm prepared to bring on additional sales and service staff to help the customers who respond to this offer and to ensure an enjoyable shopping experience and a speedy process. I want our clients to be assured that we're ready for them---each and every one of them!"

In discussing the Frank Myers Auto Maxx sale inventory, which is valued at over $1,000,000, dealership staff has assured that the vehicles included in this offer will be the popular makes and models, the cars, trucks, vans and SUVs that people actually want to drive. "Not only will we be offering our clients a fine selection of the specific vehicles they envy like Hondas, Nissans, & Toyotas, but we'll also stock a wide array from small, ultra-compact cars to larger, tougher trucks and SUVs."

Tracy Myers has even planned some unannounced "bonus" offerings to "sweeten the pot" for his clients. When pressed further, he hinted at even deeper price cuts on some specific vehicles and special gifts for anyone taking a test drive during December…such as $300 in free gas.

Considering the beating that most dealerships have taken during this toughest of years as a result of wide spread economic challenges, Tracy Myers has still found a way to smile in the face of adversity, a trait he's developed during his 15 years at the helm of Frank Myers Auto Maxx. "Instead of just calling this a Half Off sale, I'm going to call it the Don't Get Scrooged This Christmas Half Off Sale," Tracy Myers concluded, chuckling.

Beat The Dealer - November of 2008

Why You Aren’t Driving The Car You Want To Drive: Part 2

The First Problem Keeping You From Your Dream Car: Price
For some Americans, price is the primary concern when shopping for a vehicle. They may have arranged financing through a personal source, like a bank or a relative, or they may be paying cash. Their mission is to find the vehicle they want at the lowest price possible.

In order to be successful in their mission, a person need not be concerned with their trade in. They shouldn’t be worried about low interest rates. They don’t need to be talking about payments.

All of these issues confuse the car buying negotiation process. A dealer will be more willing to lower the price of a vehicle if she knows that the deal will be simple and seamless. No financing to deal with, no trade in to appraise.
So if you’re a price buyer with outside financing or cash, be upfront about your situation and ask for a speedy transaction and a low price.

The Second Problem Keeping You From Your Dream Car: Payment
If you are arranging financing through the dealer, and aren’t concerned about your credit or the state of your trade in, you’re likely to be primarily concerned with the payment.

If that’s your situation, you should explain your goal to the salesperson.
Ultimately, a professional automobile sales person will be highly interested in quickly completing a transaction.

If you’ve chosen a professional and courteous dealership, by presenting your goals you can join forces to find the best solution.

Leave the haggling out of the equation, and instead examine all the options that will allow you to arrive at the payment you have in mind.

Thank Goodness For The Good Guys

Local Businessman Honors Triad Residents Who Pay Their Bills
by Freelance Writer: James Venezio

Winston Salem - Thank goodness for the people who pay their bills. In tough economic times everyone’s talking about the people who are getting foreclosed on, being evicted, defaulting on their debts and falling on hard times. But what about the people who are struggling but still pay their bills, live up to their responsibilities and honor their commitments? Shouldn’t there be some relief and recognition for those people?

Tracy Myers, owner of Frank Myers Auto Maxx says, “Nobody ever seems to take the time
to thank the folks who work hard and pay their bills (the majority of the people). It’s these hard-working, responsible people who keep our economy going. My hat goes off to you and all the other good people out there who are keeping this great country alive.”

In response to this, Myers has created a special event to honor local residents who have a good payment history, a desire to keep the economy strong and stable and really want to upgrade their vehicle to a nicer, newer, more fuel efficient vehicle.

The event is called the Thank Goodness For The Good Guys Thanksgiving Sale

Myers believes that all the good guys out there need some relief. That’s why he’s put together this unique and unusual Thanksgiving sale. Who exactly was this event designed for? says for the “good people.” We forced him to be more specific and he gave us this criteria.
►Someone who is driving a car that’s more
than 3 years old…
►Someone who works hard to make your
payments on time…
►Someone who wants a nicer, newer, more
fuel-efficient vehicle…

“To make my point loud and clear, this month I’m having a different kind of THANKSGIVING SALE. I’m giving thanks to all the responsible men and women (business owners, teachers, nurses, factory workers, sales professionals, military personnel, emergency services, and on and on) who wake up early every day, drive a car that they don’t really like to work, bust their tail all day, then come home and try to spend time with family, have a little dinner and put their kids down to bed—all the while making their payments on time,” says Myers.

Residents who take advantage of the sale and go to Frank Myers Auto Maxx to be honored will get access to some special deals that aren’t usually offered.

“I want to help you trim down your budget and ease some of the financial pressure you may be feeling. So I’ve hand picked some top quality, fuel-efficient vehicles and made them all available by paying a $17 acquisition fee and taking over the low monthly payments from the bank…starting at just $187 per month. By combining a super low down payment, and a very low monthly payment with a fuel-efficient, top quality vehicle, you can cut your transportation in half. This will help you save money now…when you need it most,” boasts Myers.

The economic crisis is affecting not only the residents of the Triad but businesses too. The automakers have been hit hard. This year is shaping up to be the worst year for the automotive industry since 1993. Tracy Myers, owner of Frank Myers Auto Maxx, reports that the motivation to sell cars is higher than ever and that the people who have kept their commitments are now the prime borrows. These in demand car buyers will now be handsomely rewarded by the banks, finance companies and Myers, himself.

“By buying a car during my Thank Goodness For The Good Guys Thanksgiving Sales Event you can actually SAVE money. I know that almost doesn’t make any sense. But follow me on this. One of my goals for this special sales event is that I actually help you cut your monthly budget not increase it. Unlike the candidates in the past election I actually have a real concrete plan for making this a reality for you.” When you purchase a car during this sales event, Myers has a plan to save you money and get you into a nicer, newer car right away.
►We’ll take over your existing loan or
lease…
►We’ll help you pick our a new, nicer,
more fuel-efficient vehicle that will fit
your budget better…
►You’ll enjoy fair, flexible, fixed rate financing…
►You’ll save money on gas!
Combine all these savings and it can add up to a 50% reduction in your current transportation costs. PLUS we’ll give you a lifetime warranty and a money back guarantee!

Myers explains, “It’s you folks who have kept us going and I say ‘phooey’ to the idea that you should suffer or do without because some fat cat bankers were greedy or people you don’t even know defaulted on their loans!”

Due to current economic conditions many people are nervous and skeptical about making a buying decision. Myers warns that this behavior is what puts us further into the red and deeper into economic turmoil.

“I want everyone to know that they are either part of the problem or part of the solution. I believe it’s just plain un-American for someone who lives up to their responsibilities to get penalized because of greedy fat cat bankers and someone they don’t even know who couldn’t pay their bills. And I also believe its not fair that you have to drive a car that you don’t like, that costs more than it should and puts financial strain on your family’s budget,” explains Myers.

“But you better hurry. The Thank Goodness For The Good Guys Thanksgiving Sales Event is going on this month only and when you come in and take a VIP Test Drive I’ll give you a FREE $300 gas voucher, or you can opt for Myers to donate a turkey to the local food bank. Your choice. ”

An amazing deal, a good heart and a wholesome thank you right when the people of the Triad need it most. Thank goodness for the good guys like Myers and Frank Myers Auto Maxx.
